Botanical Alchemy: Mandala Banners with Nature
March 28th 10-12pm
Woodmere Art Museum
Step into the magic of the natural world through Botanical Alchemy. In this relaxing, sensory-rich workshop, students will create a nature mandala on a cotton banner using hand-dyed fabric and seasonal botanicals. We'll explore color, composition, and intuitive design as we work with plants to make something meaningful. You'll leave with a one-of-a-kind hanging artwork and a renewed sense of connection to nature, and yourself. All materials provided, but students are welcome to bring personal botanicals to infuse their story into the piece.
Natural Dye Potion Making
Natural Dye Potion Making is a hands-on, sensory art experience that blends creativity, natural dyes, and a touch of magic.
I bring a fully curated dye apothecary to your event — complete with natural pigments, dried botanicals, and plant extracts. Guests are invited to explore and experiment, learning how natural dyes are created and where these beautiful colors come from in nature. Together, we’ll mix ingredients to craft signature color potions inspired by flowers, roots, and leaves.
These “potions” are then used to dye natural-fiber cotton bandanas, revealing soft, organic hues and one-of-a-kind patterns. Each participant receives a take home container with wash instructions for easy care. The process is as relaxing as it is inspiring — equal parts art, science, and mindfulness.
