Dyeing to Survive: A Home Dye Gathering

$33.00

hosted by Carin- Dye on the Side

As the days slowly stretch and we welcome the light returning on our way to spring, I’m opening my home for a cozy, creative dye gathering.

Come as you are.
Bring a garment that’s ready for new life, plant cuttings you love, and/or a small nosh to share, tea, snacks, stories, a hug all welcome 🤍

I’ll have a rainbow of solar dyes, seasonal botanicals, and all the supplies needed to transform a stained or old piece into something stunning. This is slow, intuitive dyeing rooted in play, connection, and care.

No experience needed. All abilities welcome.

This gathering is very much home-based: I share space with a friendly dog and kitten, and we’ll gather on one main floor and my porch (a few steps). If you have allergies, sensitivities, or need any accommodations, please reach out, I want you to feel comfortable here.

What to bring (if you’d like):
– Natural-fiber garments (cotton, linen, silk)
– Plant cuttings or something seasonal to share
– A snack, tea, or nourishing nosh

📍 Fishtown, Philadelphia
(Address shared directly)

Dates:
Saturday, February 21 | 10:00–12:00pm
Sunday, March 29 | 10:00–12pm

Saturday, April 25th 10-12pm

This gathering reflects the heart of Dye on the Side: A soft winter gathering to warm our hands and mend our hearts. All proceeds will support my efforts to bring free dye programs to local kids through Avenues of Change.

If this feels like a yes, I’d love to have you.

If you would like to attend but dont have the funds to do so, please reach out, I’m happy to welcome you.
