Each creative experience includes guided instruction, a hands-on make-and-take project, a take-home container, and a sensory station. Since it's been so warm, I'll also have a fun shimmer ice sensory play station for the children to enjoy.
Duration : 1 hour ( set up 30-45min before)
We'll begin our series by harnessing the power of the summer sun! Children will create their own wearable artwork using flowers, leaves, and a special non-toxic, sun-activated dye. They'll arrange botanical treasures into unique designs before watching sunlight reveal vibrant colors right before their eyes.
Each child will:
Create a one-of-a-kind botanical solar dyed T-shirt
Learn how sunlight and plants can magically print fabric
Explore fun science meets art experience
Have a take home container with care info for pick up
This week transforms everyone into nature scientists and color makers. Children will mix colorful plant-based dye "potions," experiment with natural ingredients, and discover how flowers, leaves, and kitchen botanicals create beautiful color on fabric.
Each child will:
Mix their own natural dye potions
Explore color through playful experimentation
Design and dye a cotton bandana to take home
Have a take home container with care info for pick up
Our final week celebrates each child's unique creativity. Using a variety of art materials and natural elements, children will create expressive self-portraits inspired by the colors, textures, and patterns.
Each child will:
Create their own self portrait on a wooden piece
Explore self expression through art
Apply different textures to make layered effects
Have a take home container with care info for pick up
Three-Week Summer Maker Series- $600 for up to 10 children (includes travel expenses)
Additional children: $15 per child, per session
For convenience, payment can be made as a single invoice for the full series or as individual invoices for each workshop.
