When a Happy Hour Becomes Something More

What happens when a team puts away their emails and dyes silk scarves with flowers?

Something pretty remarkable!

Recently, I had the joy of transforming Meyer Design into a botanical dyeing experience for an after-hours happy hour with the most incredible team, Jaime & Pete from Shaw Contract and Liz from Arborite.

Together we created botanical solar-dyed silk scarves using fresh flowers, leaves, sunlight, and a little bit of science. Just as everyone was laying out their designs, the skies opened up. We found ourselves creating in a light rain that quickly turned into a downpour…everyone got a little wet, there was plenty of laughter, and somehow...the solar dyeing still worked beautifully. It made the whole experience even more unforgettable.

But the scarves weren't the best part.

The best part was watching conversations unfold, seeing coworkers encourage one another, hearing laughter fill the room, and witnessing the joy of slowing down long enough to create a meaningful accessory.

A special thank you to Jamie, Liz, Pete, and everyone at Meyer Design for inviting me to be part of your happy hour. It was such a joy creating alongside you and transforming the space into a botanical wonderland.

I love to create unique meaningful moments where teams can reconnect with nature, with creativity, and with one another.

Because sometimes, the most memorable part of a workday begins with putting away the emails... and dyeing with flowers!!!
